Integrative Medicine Day 2022: featuring MBSR and inviting you to zoom celebration

Dear Friends as part of International Integrative Medicine Day Celebration on January 23, 2022 we invite you all to take a take a look at Dr Kogan’s interview with GWCIM mindfulness and MBSR instructors Cynthia Powell and Nina Paul. 

Dr Kogan asked GWCIM Mindfulness and MBSR teachers to join him to discuss benefits of MBSR, practical aspects such as how transition to virtual format and insurance reimbursements have been playing out. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an experiential learning program teaching you new skills for managing stress and pain. Learning occurs through the guided activities, and the interactions of the participants with each other and with the teachers. You are learning to recognize your own sensations, feelings and thoughts in times of difficulty in that way the seeds of healing and stress reduction can begin to take root.
